What the TSIA2 generally determines

The Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2) is used by Texas public colleges and universities to help determine college readiness in Mathematics and English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR), and to help place students into the appropriate credit-bearing, corequisite, or developmental coursework. Some students are exempt from TSIA2 testing entirely based on prior SAT/ACT scores, class rank, or other criteria set by the state and by individual institutions.
